Common questions

About the training

Is this training free?
Yes. A&M covers the platform and the curriculum for our caregivers. There is no cost to you as an A&M employee.

How long does it take?
About 8.5 hours across eight modules. It's self-paced, and you can stop and pick up where you left off.

What does New Hampshire require?
Under He-P 822.17, caregivers at a licensed Home Care Service Provider Agency complete an orientation before client contact, at least 8 hours of personal care training before helping with transfers, feeding, bathing, or dressing, and annual in-service education each year. This portal covers the orientation and the 8-hour training. A&M also trains you on anything specific to each client's care plan.

What else do I need before I start?
New Hampshire also requires a criminal record check, a BAAS State Registry check, and a health screening with TB testing. Your A&M onboarding coordinator will walk you through each one.

Do I have to work for A&M to take it?
Yes. This training is only for A&M New Hampshire caregivers, and you need an invitation from A&M to sign in. Not hired yet? Apply to join our team →

I never got my invitation. What do I do?
Call our Portsmouth office at (603) 451-2390 or email referralsNH@aandmhomecare.org and we'll get you set up.

What if I get stuck on a quiz?
Re-read the module and try again. You need 80% to move on. After three tries, your supervisor will reach out to help.
