SMS Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 21, 2026
1. Program Description
A&M Home Care Corp ("A&M," "we," "us," "our") offers an SMS (text message) program that sends appointment confirmations, visit reminders, and related care coordination messages to clients, family members, and authorized caregivers who have consented to receive them.
Program: A&M Home Care Appointment Reminders. Appointment-text number: (866) 452-5751. Office voice support: (207) 307-0922. Text messaging is not an emergency service. Please do not send diagnoses or detailed care records by SMS.
By opting in to our SMS program, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy.
2. How to Opt In
Use the dedicated SMS signup form. Enter your name and mobile phone number, review the messaging disclosures, actively select the SMS consent checkbox, and submit. The checkbox starts unchecked; SMS consent is separate from a general contact request or service agreement. Our signup system records your affirmative consent and the submission time.
Your consent is voluntary and is not required as a condition of purchase or receiving services from A&M Home Care. If you prefer not to receive texts, call (207) 307-0922 or use our contact form to coordinate visits. Simply providing a phone number, texting an appointment reply, or reading these policies does not enroll you in the program.
3. Types of Messages You Will Receive
Messages may include, but are not limited to:
- Confirmation of a scheduled wellness or personal-care visit;
- Reminders of upcoming visits;
- Notifications of visit rescheduling or caregiver changes;
- Requests to confirm or reschedule an appointment via a secure link.
We do not send marketing or promotional text messages under this program.
4. Message Frequency
Messages are recurring. Message frequency varies with your scheduled visits, scheduling changes, and coordination needs; there is no fixed weekly message count.
5. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. A&M Home Care does not charge for the SMS messages themselves, but your mobile carrier may charge you for sending or receiving text messages according to your plan. Contact your carrier for details.
6. How to Opt Out
You may stop receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, QUIT, or END to any message from A&M Home Care. You will receive a confirmation that you have been unsubscribed and will not receive further messages.
To request resubscription after opting out, reply START to (866) 452-5751. If messages remain blocked, contact our office. Submitting the web form again does not by itself remove a carrier-level opt-out.
If an appointment message asks for a YES/NO reply, YES confirms that visit and NO declines it for staff follow-up. NO is not an SMS opt-out; use STOP to stop texts. Do not use CANCEL to decline just one visit, because CANCEL is also an SMS opt-out keyword.
7. Help and Support
Reply HELP to an A&M SMS message for assistance. You may also call our Maine headquarters at (207) 307-0922 or email referrals@aandmhomecare.org.
8. Privacy and Data Sharing
A&M Home Care does not share, sell, or rent your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data to third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number and SMS consent information are used only to send you the appointment communications you have consented to receive.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support of customer service, such as vendors needed to deliver requested messages, is permitted only for those services. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won’t be shared with any third parties.
For full details on how we collect, use, and protect your information, see our Privacy Policy.
9. Supported Carriers
SMS delivery is subject to carrier availability, verification approval, and network conditions. Enrollment does not guarantee immediate message delivery. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
10. Eligibility
You must be the account holder or authorized user of the mobile phone number you provide and at least 18 years of age to consent to receive SMS messages from A&M Home Care. If you provide a phone number on behalf of a client (for example, a family caregiver enrolling a parent), you represent that you have authority to provide that number and consent on the client's behalf.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these SMS Terms & Conditions from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued participation in the SMS program after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
