Meet Cameron Jowders

Cameron Jowders has been a valued member of A&M Homecare for over four years, bringing a passion for compassionate care, caregiver development, and client advocacy to everything he does. With eight years of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and a strong focus on dementia care, Cameron has dedicated his career to helping individuals and families navigate some of life’s most challenging transitions.

His journey into healthcare began while working as a housekeeper in a nursing home. Through daily interactions with residents, families, nurses, CNAs, and social workers, Cameron discovered a calling to serve others on a deeper level. Inspired by the meaningful relationships he built, he pursued a career as a CNA and quickly found a passion for supporting individuals living with dementia and the families who care for them.

At A&M Homecare, Cameron plays a key role in supporting caregivers, onboarding new clients, and recruiting caregivers throughout the state of Maine. He is passionate about helping new caregivers gain confidence and develop the skills they need to succeed. Cameron believes that some of the most exceptional caregivers are often those who begin their journey with uncertainty, and he takes pride in mentoring them toward success. He also enjoys welcoming new clients to A&M Homecare, creating personalized care plans, and matching families with caregivers who best fit their personalities, lifestyles, and care needs.

What Cameron enjoys most about his role is the opportunity to provide hope, encouragement, and support. Whether working with clients, family members, or caregivers, he strives to help others see beyond their current circumstances and recognize their potential for growth and success. His approach to care is guided by integrity, adaptability, compassion, and honesty—qualities he believes are essential for delivering exceptional service.

Throughout his healthcare career, Cameron has experienced the joy of reconnecting with former clients, families, and caregivers whose lives he has impacted over the years. These moments reinforce his commitment to making a positive difference and remind him why he chose this profession. He approaches each day with enthusiasm, viewing every new day as an opportunity to serve others and make a meaningful impact.

Outside of work, Cameron is devoted to his faith and family. He and his wife are raising three children and enjoy spending time together exploring the Maine outdoors. Whether hiking, kayaking, swimming, relaxing at camp, or simply enjoying wildlife and nature, Cameron values the simple moments that bring people together. He is also passionate about health and fitness, regularly weight training and encouraging others to pursue healthier lifestyles. Cameron and his family are active members of First Pentecostal Church of Brewer, which he considers one of the most important parts of his life.

For Cameron, compassionate care means meeting people where they are, adapting to their unique needs, and ensuring they feel better, more supported, and more hopeful than they did before. His mission is simple: work hard, serve others with intention, and make a positive impact on every life he touches.
